One may create tables in wiki pages using either XHTML table elements directly or by using wikicode formatting to define the table. XHTML table elements and their use are comprehensively described on various web pages and we shall therefore not discuss them here. The advantage of using wikicode is that the table is constructed using character symbols. This aspect tends to make it easier to perceive and formulate the table structure in the article editing in contrast to a table that is created using HTML table elements.
